Tournament Highlights:  First round games have gone pretty much according to the seeding with the exception
of #11 seeded Mountain Vista knocking out #6 seed Durango 56-49.

Sweet 16: All but two of the top 4 seeds in each region advance to next weeks Sweet 16. #4 seeded Brighton, lost to #5 seed Rocky Mountain 47-27 and #5 seed Ft. Collins beat #4 Ralston Valley 43-34.

Great 8: The Great 8 features all four #1 seeds, two of the #2's and a couple of mild upsets put two #3's into
this round. #3 Heritage beat #2 Grandview by 16 and #3 Grand Junction Central escaped #2 Arapahoe.

Final Four: Advancing to the Final Four are 3 #1 seeds - Regis, Highlands Ranch & Horizon and #2 seed Monarch who beat ThunderRidge by 11.

Championship Game: Regis vs surprising Monarch. In a closely contested game Regis finally got it's championship.

Tournament Highlights: All the higher seeded teams won their first round games with the exception of
#9 seeded Castle View beating #8 Jefferson 77-46.

Sweet 16: All of the top 4 seeds in each region have advanced to the round of 16.

Great 8: Pueblo South is the first #1 to fall; loosing 56-48 to #4 Fossil Ridge. #3 Longmont beat #2 Conifer to
advance.

Final 4:  Advancing to the Final 4 are 3 #1 seeds - Broomfield, Montrose, Mullen, and a surprising #4 seed
Fossil Ridge who has beaten #1 seed Pueblo South & #2 seed Sierra in the Tracy Hill region.

Championship Game:  Favorites Broomfield and Mullen. A physical battle for four quarters gave Broomfield it's third
Championship in a 2pt. game. Congratulations to the Broomfield Eagles.

Sweet 16: 4 teams seeded lower than a #4 have advanced to the 3A Sweet 16. #6 seed Lamar knocked out #3 seed Peak to Peak. #5 Machebeuf beat #4 Erie. #5 Classical Academy sent #4 Faith Christian home and #6 Coal Ridge beat #3 Yuma.

Great 8:  All 4 #1 seeds have advanced, 3 of the #2 seeds also make the Great 8 field. #3 seed Estes Park is
the other entry into the field of 8.

Final 4: The only #1 seed to advance is Holy Family. Joing the Tigers will be #2 seed St. Mary's(CS), #3 seed Estes Park, and #2 seed
Eaton.

Championship Game:  On March 14, favorite Holy Family will take on the upset minded ladies from Estes Park.


Class 2A
Advancing to the Great 8 is:  #1 Wray(23-1); #2 Paonia(23-1); #3 Sanford(19-5); #4 Meeker(18-6);
                                        #5 Burlington(17-6); #6 Hayden(21-3); #7 Merino(14-9); #8 Akron(14-10)

Final 4:  The Final Four features Wray, Paonia, Hayden and Meeker. Favorites to advance are Wray and Paonia.

Championship Game:  Saturday's(3/14) Championship game pits Wray against Paonia.


Class 1A
Advancing to the Great 8 is: #1 McClave(23-1); #2 Deer Trail(23-1); #3 Kim(22-1); #4 Hi-Plains(21-3);
                                       #5 Stratton(19-5); #6 Eads(19-5); #7 Pawnee(18-6); #8 Holly(16-8)

Final 4:  Class 1A Final Four features #1 seed McClave, Stratton, Kim and Pawnee who upset Deer Trail.

Championship Game:  Saturday's(3/14) Championship should be a good one. #1 seed McClave takes on #3 seed Kim.
